Learn to Build Baseball Visualizations
A re-post to highlight some of our baseball coding tutorials
Instead of a new post today, we’ll highlight some of our “How To” guides for working with baseball data and building visualizations. We think it’s a great way to learn how to analyze and understand how to work with Data and R. The tutorial posts assume that the reader has at least a basic understanding of R. If you’ve never written a line of code or worked with baseball data, there are many great introductory resources out there. A great place to start is R for Data Science by Hadley Wickham & Garrett Grolemund. It covers everything you’ll need to know to begin working with data, performing analysis, and building visualizations. RStudio also puts out many great resources like this guide for getting started in R. In our tutorials we’ll strictly be using baseball data, which in our opinion, makes it more fun to learn how to write code in R.
Here is a link to all of our posts, but we’ll highlight a few. The best place to start is actually getting the data, right?
