Vinnie Pasquantino, 1B - (AAA) KC - 5-6, 2 HR, 2 2B
Vinnie Pasquantino may have had the game of the season yesterday — he went 5-6 with two homers, one of which was a grand slam. He also hit a pair of doubles. Pasquantino is forcing the issue for the Royals, who are inexplicably giving playing time to Ryan O’Hearn while Pasquantino continues to dominate in AAA. It’s not like this season has been a small sample breakout, Pasquantino has hit everywhere he’s gone — his career minor league slash line is .294/.386/.574 (.414 wOBA). Sometimes there are reasons not known publicly for why a player is being held back, but this one is a head scratcher.
