Player(s) of the Day 🌟
There were far too many great performances yesterday to select just one, so instead we’ll try to highlight as many players as possible. There were 12 two-homer games across the minors yesterday. Nick Raposo (AA) and Leonardo Bernal (A) from the Cardinals system both went 3 for 4 with two home runs. Raposo added a double and is now hitting .280/.342/.500 on the season. Bernal is an 18-year-old, switch hitting catcher out of Panama who’s slashing .247/.271/.395 with three homers across 85 plate appearances. Carlos De La Cruz (22) - PHI (A+) also homered twice — he finished the day going 3 for 4 with a walk. De La Cruz is now hitting .267/.337/.439 with seven homers and five steals. The rest of the two homer group includes Tristan Gray (26) - TB (AAA), Narciso Crook (27) - CHC (AAA), Endy Rodriguez (22) - PIT (A+), Jason Krizan (33) - SF (AAA), Jason Martin (26) - LAD (AAA), Jhonkensy Noel (21) - CLE (AA), Austin Callahan (21) - CIN (A), Carlos Pérez (25) - CWS (AAA), Jacob Wetzel (22) - CHC (A).
