The Rundown 🌟
Rangers prospect Justin Foscue (23) went 3 for 4 with a 3-run homer and two doubles to help Frisco (AA) top Amarillo 4-3. The former Mississippi State standout and first round pick is now hitting .281 / .365 / .459 across 301 plate appearances. Foscue has above-average raw power, but just seven home runs on the year after hitting 17 across three levels last season. Hunter Brown (23) - HOU (AAA) came out of the bullpen for Sugar Land and gave up just one run on two hits across 5.1 innings while striking out nine and walking one. Brown’s fastball touched 98 mph and got nine whiffs on 14 swings. Forrest Whitley (24) - HOU - (AAA) started the game and faced eight batters, giving up two hits and striking out three. Whitley’s fastball averaged 94 mph and was up to 96 mph. Pete Crow-Armstrong (20) - CHC (A+) went 3 for 5 with three singles, two stolen bases, and made a great catch in center. The 20-year-old former 1st round pick is now slashing .313 / .375 / .547 across two levels with 14 home runs and 22 stolen bases.
