Jackson Merrill (19) - SD (A) went 4 for 5 with three doubles and four RBIs to lead Lake Elsinore (SD) over Fresno (COL), 13-2, in game one of the best-of-three California League (Low-A) finals. The Severna Park, MD native and 2021 1st round pick is 9 for 13 through his first three postseason games. Overall, Merrill slashed .325 / .387 / .482 (125 wRC+) across 219 Low-A plate appearances this season. || In the Carolina League finals, Charleston (TB) topped Lynchburg (CLE) 7-5 in game one of the best-of-three series. Carson Williams (19) - TB (A) and Willy Vasquez (21) - TB (A) both hit home runs — Vazquez’s homer being a go-ahead three-run shot in the 3rd that put Charleston up for good. || Down in the Florida State League, Mets’ prospect Carlos Dominguez (22) - NYM (A) hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth inning to help St. Lucie top Dunedin (TOR), 6-5. The Mets are now one win away from capturing the FSL title. Dominguez finished the regular season with a slash line of .233 / .324 / .426 (115 wRC+), including 20 home runs and 22 stolen bases. Mets’ first-round pick this year, Kevin Parada (21), was on base three times and scored two runs.
