The Port St. Lucie Mets secured the Florida State League (Low-A) championship last night by beating Dunedin (TOR) 6-3. Kevin Parada (21) - NYM (A), the 11th overall pick in this yearβs draft, went 2 for 3 with a home run, double, and a walk. Blade Tidwell (21) - NYM (A), the 52nd overall pick, pitched five scoreless innings while striking out seven and walking two batters. Despite consistent roster churn, St. Lucie had the best record in the FSL for most of the season and finished the year at 73-56 with the most runs scored in the league.
