The Rundown 🌟
Guardians prospect Bo Naylor (22), younger brother of Josh Naylor, went deep twice for Columbus (AAA) last night hitting his 15th and 16th home runs of the season. His second homer tied the game in the top of the 8th although Louisville would go on to win, 6-5, on a game winning home run from Juniel Querecuto. Naylor is slashing .262 / .400 / .481 this season across 450 plate appearances in Double-A and Triple-A. Hunter Greene started the game for Louisville and went two innings giving up one run on one hit while striking out six and walking one. Greene faced lefty Logan Allen (24) - CLE (AAA) who punched out nine batters but also coughed up five runs including a pair of home runs. Allen now has a 6.86 ERA (4.75 FIP) across 10 Triple-A starts and has walked 24 batters in 40 2/3 innings. It’s a somewhat odd development for Allen who’s shown strong command (8% walk rate) for the better part of his first two professional seasons.
