We knew we’d only be able to talk about Jackson Holliday for a brief time, so at least we were able to feature him here a few times during this season before he ended up in Baltimore. In Holliday’s last game in the minors he went 1-4 with a double (off of a lefty). Good luck to Jackson. Despite losing Holliday, the Norfolk team is still stacked. Just don’t be surprised if you see more call-ups in the near future. One of those could be Coby Mayo, who hit his 3rd homer of the season yesterday and is now slashing .378 / .440 / .667 on the year. In other top prospect news, Dylan Crews busted out with a 4-hit night, including his first home run of the season. Fellow Nats prospect James Wood also had a good day at the plate — he smacked a pair of doubles include a ball hit 110mph. Also last night, Alex Jackson and the Durham Bulls scored 28 runs. Jackson hit three homers. Let’s see what happened around the rest of the minor leagues.
