Kyle Harrison, LHS 20 y/o, 6'2" / 200 - Giants (AA)
So far professional baseball has seemed pretty easy for Kyle Harrison. The former 2nd round pick in the 2020 draft has carved up lower-level hitters the past two seasons and just earned a promotion to AA as a 20-year-old. Former Giants’ pitcher Shawn Estes compared Harrison to Madison Bumgarner, who had his own meteoric rise through the minor leagues and pitched in the big leagues as a 19-year-old. Bumgarner never looked back and has compiled a career that will be worthy of Hall of Fame consideration when it’s all said and done.
“He’s just one of those guys that’s kind of figured it out, a little bit like [Madison] Bumgarner did,” former Giants pitcher Shawn Estes said on KNBR Tuesday morning. “He went through the minor leagues like it was practice for the big leagues. He was like, ‘alright I’ve checked off that box I can dominate there,’ but he never really changed any level. He got to the big leagues he was the same guy.”
