Shea Langeliers, C 24 y/o, R/R, 6'0" / 205 - A’s (AAA)
The Braves selected Langeliers with the 9th overall pick in the 2019 draft out of Baylor. After two seasons in Atlanta’s organization, Langeliers was sent to Oakland as the centerpiece of the trade that brought Matt Olsen to the Braves1. Langeliers was renowned for his defensive ability as a catcher coming out of Baylor and his high-quality work has continued as a pro. His defense behind the plate sets his floor fairly high as a potential everyday catcher in the big leagues. At the plate, Langeliers has impressive power and last season he started to get to it more consistently in games, hitting 22 home runs in 384 plate appearances across AA and AAA.
