Springfield Cardinals’ Hitting Coach Tyger Pederson Talks Hitting Tyger Pederson comes from a family that knows a little something about hitting. His father, Stu, played 12 years professionally in the Dodgers organization and his brother, Joc, a two-time World Series Champion, is currently hitting .268/.343/.593 for the Giants. Tyger had an outstanding collegiate career at University of the Pacific before being chosen by the Dodgers in the 33rd round of the 2013 amateur draft. After his professional playing career ended, he turned his attention to coaching where he’s quickly risen to the position of hitting coach for the Double-A Springfield Cardinals.
